Who we are

Rendez-vous naval de Québec

Launched in 2008, the Rendez-vous naval de Québec (RVNQ) aims to welcome Canadian and foreign sailors to Quebec City to create opportunities for interaction between them and the public in a highly festive environment.

Beyond the anticipated excitement generated by the visit of ships to Quebec City, we strive to create a major international tourist event that promotes our region and its relationship with the St. Lawrence River, while offering visitors the chance to realize the importance of naval and maritime presence in Quebec City over the years.

This unique biennial gathering in Canada has attracted over 300,000 visitors during the four editions held in 2008, 2010, 2012, and 2014. The latest edition of the RVNQ took place in 2017 and was a resounding success. The organization took the opportunity to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First World War, the 100th anniversary of the Valcartier Canadian Forces Base, and the 70th anniversary of the Normandy landing in the Second World War.

We cannot overlook the involvement of our administrators, the dedication of our team, and the unwavering support of the regional naval and maritime community; our event could not progress without the fortunate combination of their contributions. Thank you to all.

Enjoy the Rendez-vous!
